In May, the Friends of Project Renew board of directors voted to fund a new project that continues to focus on the victims from the effects of UXO and Agent Orange. This new agreement between Friends of Project Renew (FPR) and Project RENEW will provide critical disability support services in Quang Ngai and Quang Tri provinces, Vietnam. The gift, totaling $110,000, will be distributed over four installments through December 2026. This initiative builds upon FPR’s long-standing commitment to mitigating the long-term impacts of war and promoting safety and recovery across affected communities.
With support from your donations, we aim to improve safety and accessibility for 160 families in need, enabling severely disabled individuals to live more independently and with dignity.
The plan includes:
Improve Accessibility at Home
• Install handrails, high toilets, and ramps for 100 households in Quang Ninh and Le Thuy Districts (Quang Binh).
Repair Degraded Housing
• Provide construction materials for 60 households in Huong Hoa and Dakrong Districts (Quang Tri) to repair their homes and improve living conditions in harsh weather.
This partnership underscores a shared vision to uplift vulnerable populations and restore dignity and opportunity to those living with the legacy of war. With this agreement, Friends of Project RENEW reaffirms its dedication to a safer, more inclusive future in Vietnam.
Should you want to contribute directly to this initiative, you can donate here. Your partnership can transform the daily lives of 160 families affected by war legacies in Central Vietnam. With your support, we can ensure these individuals live with greater safety, dignity, and hope.
