Dong Ha, Quang Tri (April 12, 2024): A collaborative effort to enhance public awareness of unexploded ordnance (UXO) risks was launched today in Dong Ha. Project RENEW’s management team met with a core team from Pencil Group, a Ho Chi Minh City-based cultural marketing agency, to officially begin the digital transformation of the Mine Action Visitor Center.
This project, funded by the Irish Embassy in Vietnam, will utilize innovative digital tools to improve public understanding of UXOs. Interactive exhibits will educate visitors on UXO identification, the consequences and causes of accidents, and preventative measures. Engaging digital maps and data displays will showcase ongoing humanitarian mine action efforts in Quang Tri Province. These interactive features are designed to resonate with a wide audience, including children, teenagers, and adults.
This initiative is a significant step forward in raising awareness of the dangers of UXOs. By providing the public with clear and accessible information, Project RENEW and Pencil Group hope to promote safer communities throughout Quang Tri Province.
