Make a Difference in Quang Ngai with RENEW: Project Assistant Needed!

Friends of Project RENEW and Irish Aid are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Assistant to join our team in Quang Ngai Province! You’ll play a vital role in supporting our Victim Assistance/Disability Support and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education activities.

Project Assistant:

Location: Quang Ngai, Vietnam

Start Date: February 02, 2024

Duration: February 2024 to July 2024 (with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs)

Responsibilities

Assist with project planning, implementation, and monitoring activities.

Maintain project documentation and records, including ad hoc and periodical reports, minutes, and data.

Liaise with stakeholders, including district Red Cross chapters, Youth Unions, Disabled Associations, and Schools for implementation of Victim Assistance/Disability Support and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education activities.

Conduct field visits to project areas for scouting, monitoring, and evaluating community-based activities.

Assist in identifying the strengths and weaknesses related to the overall program and recommending remedial action to improve the program’s impact.

Ensure priorities related to gender, diversification, and rights of war victims and other persons with disabilities and their inclusion in the program activities.

Ensure that donors’ project management regulations and requirements are met and abided.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as economics, foreign languages, social science, and humanity.

1-2 years of experience in social work.

Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with an IELTS band score of 6.0 or above (issued in 2023).

Good communication and presentation skills.

Priority is given to candidates who are Quang Ngai Province natives.

Willing to participate in all project activities in the field and take multiple-day work travel.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Possessing a Class B2 driver’s license is a plus.
