Celebrating Generosity: A Heartfelt Thank You and a New Way to Give Back

At Friends of Project RENEW, every step forward is made possible by the generosity and compassion of our supporters. In the past few months, we’ve been deeply moved by the commitment of individuals who believe, as we do, in building a safer, more hopeful future for Vietnam.

We’d like to extend our deepest thanks to three incredible donors whose recent contributions have made a lasting impact:

  • Ted Hammett – for his continued leadership and dedication to our mission.
  • Fred Prubin – whose recent gift will support life-saving mine risk education and victim assistance.
  • Thomas Bo Pedersen – who celebrated his birthday in a truly inspiring way by encouraging friends and loved ones to donate to Friends of Project Renew in lieu of gifts.

Thomas’ generous act reminds us that giving back can be personal, meaningful, and joyful. That’s why we’re launching a new “Birthdays for a Safer Future” initiative—an opportunity for supporters to mark their special day by raising funds that support Project RENEW’s programs in central Vietnam.

Whether you’re turning 30, 60, or 80, you can use your birthday to create real change. By setting up a fundraiser, sharing your story, or simply asking friends to give in your honor, you can help remove unexploded ordnance, support survivors, and bring peace of mind to families living in affected areas.

Let your next birthday be a gift not just to yourself, but to an entire community.
